How to batch export multiple videos at once
Editing clips one by one is slow - open a file, set in and out points, export, wait, repeat. The playlist in Lossless Video Cutter lets you queue as many files as you need, set segments on each, and process them all in one unattended run.

The playlist explained
Open the Playlist window from Window → Playlist. The playlist holds multiple video files side by side, each with its own independent set of segments. Switching between items in the list changes which file and which segment selection are active in the main trimming view.
When you're ready to export, the playlist gives you two paths: merge everything into one combined output file, or export each playlist item as its own separate output file. Both happen in a single operation - you don't have to babysit the queue.
Step-by-step: batch trim and export
- Open the Playlist window via Window → Playlist.
- Add files. Drag video files into the playlist, or use the + button to browse. Files appear in the list in the order you add them.
- Select each file and set its segments. Click an item in the playlist to load it in the main view. Set in/out points, add segments, and adjust them exactly as you would for a single file. Your work is saved automatically as you move between items.
- Choose your export mode (see below) and click Export All from the playlist menu. The app processes every file in sequence.
Two export modes
Merge into one file
All selected segments from all playlist items are concatenated into a single output file, in playlist order. Useful for assembling a highlight reel or a single showreel from multiple clips.
Export each file separately
Each playlist item is exported independently, producing one output file per input. Segments within each file are joined, but the outputs remain separate. Ideal for batch-trimming a folder of raw files.
Smart scans on a playlist
You don't have to set every segment by hand. Smart scan tools - Remove Silence, Find Face, Speech Search, and others - work on whichever file is active in the playlist. Switch to each item, run the scan that fits your content, review the result, then move on. When all items are prepared, batch export processes them all at once.
For fully automated batch workflows, run a smart scan on one item at a time in sequence, then trigger Export All. The entire pipeline - from raw files to finished outputs - runs without re-encoding the video track of any file.
Use cases
- Processing a day's worth of camera footage - trimming handles and slates from every clip in a folder
- Batch trimming raw interview files from a multi-camera shoot before handing off to an editor
- Splitting a series of lecture recordings into their spoken segments and exporting each lecture as a clean, silence-free file
- Assembling a highlight reel from segments across ten different source clips into one merged output
